@00:30So true, blood and violence aren't needed but it has gradually become so popular that many almost expect it.

A very good movie (at least I liked it) was The Butterfly Effect..If you never saw it I recommend it. The plot is about a man who can turn back an event in time (that's all I'll say) but if you would change one thing that happened in life, a persons whole life would be different.

So it's not a violent movie (has a few scenes) but part of the greater story. So as you said - a plot that keeps a person in suspense.

But violence sells unfortunately and doesn't make a movie.

@00:30Typical horror sequence....usually or the ones I've seen that will take character and start going future kill literally.

@00:30Well. many are looking into schooling in 3D to get into the game programming end and violence sells. Also can serve as a reference for lack of creativity (violent games) . . so.

@00:30Thats true. We wanted to get away from that. The script we got was from mary shellys frankenstein. We were told the core of the story had to be kept the same but things could be manipulated so we decided to try something different. After all horror is not blood and guts. Good horror is suspense.
